ZINEniac is a dynamic, STEAM-powered ecosystem that integrates a collectible trading card game, an immersive tabletop role-playing game, and an interactive educational app into one cohesive learning experience. Students embark on an epic journey through the ZINEniac multiverse, where storytelling, strategy, and problem-solving converge across physical and digital play.
Trading Card Game:
Through the trading card game, players collect, build, and strategize with creatures, artifacts, and enchanted equipment, applying mathematical reasoning, probability, and systems thinking.
Tabletop RPG:
The tabletop role-playing game expands this experience through guided campaigns and collaborative missions, requiring students to analyze scenarios, make ethical decisions, and develop narrative arcs for their characters.
App:
The ZINEniac app bridges both formats, reinforcing learning through interactive challenges, progress tracking, adaptive quests, and real-time feedback.
As students progress, their characters level up across all platforms, unlocking new abilities while strengthening literacy, critical thinking, collaboration, and executive-function skills. The experience culminates in students becoming published creators, authoring character backstories, missions, and world-building content that is officially integrated into the evolving ZINEniac multiverse. By the end of their journey, learners are not only skilled strategists and storytellers, but confident creators whose ideas permanently shape the worlds they explore.

How it works:
Create A Character
Let the creativity flow! Limited only by the bounds of their imaginations, our students embark on the ZINEniac journey by designing and creating their own original character.
Complete challenges
By completing STEAM challenges, and based on their performance in school, students earn points to elevate their creations from fledgling characters to legendary superheros.
Battle!
Time to put the characters to the test! Immersing themselves in the ZINEniac trading card game, students engage with their peers in fun-filled strategic battles to see if their superheros have what it takes to win.
Publish
Upon completing the program, our scholars enter the lore of the ZINEniac universe. Students will compile all they have learned and become published authors through our zines.
